Freedom Vertigo is a concept that inspired her 17 paintings. Freedom Vertigo expresses the condition of feeling free from material and metaphysical limitations, the sensation that everything is possible, everything is close at hand, yet distant at the same time. It is difficult to decide what to do or when to do it because you are free from literally everything. The absence of necessity, obligation, or constraint in choice or action can induce happiness but also sadness, confusion, and uncertainty. Faced with a metaphorical blank canvas, we can end up wondering what freedom is and whether we are really capable of being free. This has very practical implications because, given that we are capable of being free and that being free is ultimately desirable, we can wonder how to live in such a way that our inner potential is fully realized.
